ipaddress.si answers a simple question — what is my IP address? — and then keeps going: which network you are on, who operates it, how it is routed, how its names resolve and what that says about your connection.
What we believe
Real data, our own copy. Every value on this site comes from your own connection or from a named source. We download the global BGP routing table, the regional internet registries’ allocation records, the DB-IP geolocation dataset, GeoNames and the Tor exit list ourselves and rebuild our indexes every 24 hours. Registration records and DNS answers are queried live from the registries and name servers themselves. If a source has no answer, we say so instead of guessing.
Honest about limits. IP geolocation is an estimate, network types are inferred from operator names, and registration records can be out of date. We label each of those and explain them on How it works.
Private by default. Lookups of your address run on our own server against our own datasets — no third-party IP intelligence service sees them. We don’t log visitor IP addresses, keep a history of lookups or use tracking cookies.
Useful for professionals, readable for everyone. The CIDR, subnet, DNS, WHOIS and ASN tools are built for network engineers; the guides and articles are written for anyone curious about how the internet works.
